This website is an attempt to share my memories of the Lamoille Valley Railroad Company from my half a dozen or so trips to Vermont in the late 80’s to mid 90’s.

If you have never heard of the Lamoille Valley, I hope that you will leave this site with a glimpse of how I remember this Vermont short line.

If you are familiar with the railroad, I hope that I might rekindle some of your own memories of the LVRC.

The Lamoille Valley is probably most known for the Fisher Bridge near Wolcott, Vermont. This is a covered railroad bridge.

They were also known for their fleet of Alco locomotives. It was these locomotives that first drew me to Vermont.
