This website is an attempt to share my memories of the Lamoille Valley Railroad Company from my half a dozen or so trips to Vermont in the late 80’s to mid 90’s. If you have never heard of the Lamoille Valley, I hope that you will leave this site with a glimpse of how I remember this Vermont short line. If you are familiar with the railroad, I hope that I might rekindle some of your own memories of the LVRC. The Lamoille Valley is probably most known for the Fisher Bridge near Wolcott, Vermont. This is a covered railroad bridge. They were also known for their fleet of Alco locomotives. It was these locomotives that first drew me to Vermont. Enough for now. Relax and enjoy the memories. |
